Dave and Linda Bennett form the heart of Kakori, bringing together decades of experience in conservation, tourism, and community empowerment.

Dave’s journey began in Zimbabwe, where after training in civil engineering he turned to guiding, wildlife operations, and safari entrepreneurship. His career grew across Southern Africa — from pioneering mobile safaris and lodge development in Zimbabwe and Botswana, to building extensive operations in Zambia. In 2005, he joined Wilderness Safaris, Africa’s leading safari company, and rose to become Group COO, responsible for managing thousands of staff across six African countries and spearheading new global developments. His leadership in eco-tourism and sustainable business design has earned him recognition as a thought leader in conservation-driven enterprise.

Throughout this journey, Linda has been a constant partner and driving force. As one of the first female licensed guides in Zimbabwe, Lindas passion for the wilderness was entrenched from an early age. Beyond supporting the strategic direction of Kakori, she has independently focused on humanitarian and community issues — particularly animal welfare. Her dedication to addressing the abuse and neglect of domestic animals, as well as her involvement in community support projects, has brought compassion and grassroots strength to their shared mission.

Together, Dave and Linda combine strategic leadership with deep empathy for people and wildlife. Their partnership reflects Kakori’s founding principle: that conservation success is inseparable from community empowerment and care for all living beings.
