Our Story

Kakori Clay is a partnership between Kakori Conservation and local artisan Kuda Impala, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern creativity. Together, we are developing a product line that celebrates nature, uplifts communities, and offers sustainable alternatives to everyday living

Inspired by Nature, Crafted by Hand

Each Kakori Clay piece is shaped by hand, inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Hwange. Our expanding product range includes:

  • Garden & Wildlife Creations — bird feeders, nesting boxes, and clay leaves for wind chimes.

  • Home & Decorative Pieces — giant clay lampshades, colourful glazed ornaments, and designs that incorporate basketry and wire work.

  • Functional Innovation — clay vortex stoves that are energy-efficient, smoke-reducing, and a practical alternative to log fires, helping to slow deforestation.

Every product tells a story of sustainability and creativity, while supporting local livelihoods.

Sustainability at the Core

Kakori Clay isn’t just about beauty — it’s about impact. By creating energy-saving stoves and durable clay alternatives, we reduce pressure on forests and promote renewable lifestyles. By incorporating traditional skills like weaving and wire craft, we keep cultural heritage alive while creating new economic opportunities.

Coming Soon

We’re building a beautiful, diverse range of clay products that will be available online by the end of this year. Each purchase supports local artisans, fuels conservation, and brings a touch of Africa’s creativity into your home.
